More about Me!

I’m drawn to the quieter moments within a landscape.

I’m Toni, a fine art coastal and landscape photographer based in Newcastle, NSW, Australia, working through Naturally Toned Photography.

My practice is shaped by a quiet way of seeing — drawn to the spaces where land, water, and light meet, and to the subtle shifts that transform familiar places into something reflective and enduring. I’m interested in stillness, texture, and tone, and in creating work that holds space rather than demands attention.

Naturally Toned grew from a desire to slow the process down, to work with intention, and to produce photographs that are made to live with — thoughtfully selected, carefully produced, and offered as limited edition fine art prints.

Much of my work is informed by time spent along the Australian coastline and across surrounding rural and inland landscapes.

These environments offer a quiet contrast — from shifting tides and open skies to layered hills and expansive country, each shaped by light, weather, and time.

I’m drawn to these spaces not for their scale alone, but for how they change depending on when and how you arrive there.

My approach is observational and restrained. I’m less interested in spectacle and more in the moments that reveal themselves slowly — when light settles across a surface, when texture becomes as important as form, or when stillness emerges within movement.

Each image is selected not only for what it shows, but for how it feels, and how it might live within a space over time.

Through Naturally Toned Photography, my work is offered as limited edition fine art prints, produced with care and a focus on longevity.

These collections evolve slowly, shaped by place, light, and a commitment to thoughtful visual storytelling across both coastal and countryside environments.
